Welcome! Following the definition of core, this site is designed to inspire and ignite you to improve your core- the central or most important part of your being; whether that be your experiences, style, lifestyle, etc. There are two blogs, each focused on a different aspect. Additionally, on this site you can find information regarding the Just Makes Cents service project and Core Social Media services. Core Experience: The first classes you typically take at a university are your core classes. These are designed to prepare you with a well-rounded education. As a current college junior, I have found that I am receiving a well-rounded education not from my core classes, but from my experiences outside of the classroom. Here are my stories and experiences about how I am learning and living the Core Experience of College Life.
Core Style: The core is the central muscle of your body. Much like that, your style is the center of your expression. With this new category, I will be sharing my style, fashion and beauty tips and tricks. I never thought I could have a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog: I wasn’t skilled at eyeliner and I didn’t have a budget that would satisfy the latest trends and designers. That’s when it hit me. I could create a blog that had fashion, beauty and lifestyle on a budget for girls who aren’t the most fashionable or the most skilled with lip liner (like me!). I hope this helps encourage you to appreciate the beautiful things in life regardless of the obstacles in your way. ~Strengthening core style on a budget~
Core Sweethearts: The heart is the core muscle of the body and soul. It pumps your blood and fuels your passions. In today’s world, I am constantly inspired to follow my passions. I log onto Facebook and I see my peers doing truly incredible things: starting their own businesses, making their dreams come true, or just kicking butt in college. I think far too often we focus on FOMO. We get jealous of those girls who have thousands of Instagram followers, who are making things happen for themselves. I want to change that. I want to foster a community of women who actively inspire and encourage other women to pump their blood and fuel their passions. Every month I will feature a Core Sweetheart- someone who is using their heart to follow their passions and make things happen. I hope by featuring these Sweethearts, other women will be inspired, just as I have been.
